“Cry for a vision”

The vision quest is a traditional retreat in the forest.
This tradition-rite was given by the white calf buffalo woman to the men many centuries ago.
Her teaching to the humans with this ritual called Vision Quest is the need to be for a while in loneliness in the nature to stop everything, to gain a vision of what we should do with our time on earth. Especially for a real true purpose.
Stopping everything, doing nothing and fasting favors a great clarity for our personal and existential matters…getting answers before making decisions of great importance for our life.
NOTE:
Please do not attempt to do this retreat by yourself so it bring instructions and times when the person is visited and given water and food that it is not narrated here. Also the person is supported by the guide from the distance and supporters, who come to the Finca Aiti to pray for the vision quester.
Safety and care are vital for all of us!!
THERE WILL BE MEETINGS/CHATS TO INFORM ABOUT THE VISION QUEST
Please take into account that preparations and subscriptions are required several months in advance.

MEETINGS TIMETABLE
- On March 17th at 11:00 am.
- On April 21st (Exact time to be confirmed later).

REQUIREMENTS FOR: VISION QUESTERS
1. Planify your vision quest as soon as possible. A phone conversation several months prior to the vision quest is mandatory.
Registrations are from now until July 2024.
2. Being in good health: If you suffer from any disease: mental or emotional disharmonies or physical ones, contact the guide to explain what best is for you.
3. Keep the commitment to attend in row the 4 consecutive vision quests.
4. If you come from far away, book your flights according to the arrival and end dates as to organization timetable. Take into account arriving earlier and leaving later to help with different tasks and connect with the space and nature.
Spending time together before and after it usually helps the person to feel welcomed. Also time for pleasure as going to the beach, chatting and sharing.
5. Participating in the temazcals and volunteering throughout the year to connect with the spirit of the place and understand deeper this ancient rite is highly adviceable.
If you live far away, take your time reading articules about these traditions and call to be informed.
6. Assume the commitment with respect and seriousness.
7. Preparations of the 365 tabaccoo prayers. Start as soon as possible. They must be finished before arrival.
COLORS AND NUMBER OF DAYS
If you come for first time, the east door: Color of the 365 prayers is red. Time you will be retreated in loneliness: 4 days
If you come for second time,the south door:Color of the 365 prayers is yellow.
Time you will be retreated in loneliness: 7 days
If you come for third time,the fourth door: Color of the 365 prayers is white.
Time you will be retreated in loneliness: 9 days.
The 7 directions sticks: preparations in advance. If you travel, let us know you need them. We can help you to provide them to you.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUPPORTERS
The supporters are people attend the vision quest in a different way. They do not retreat, they do not fast. They stay in the camp-site.
They are asked as the vision quester, the contribution that helps to keep this tradition alive and to allow the payment of all expendings.
The tasks of the supporters are firstly being present in the campsite for the spirit of the quester and help in all tasks in the Aiti finca camp.
They can be also people who are interested in doing the vision quest next year, but they´d rather learning about this rite from the camp.

It will be guided by Esther T. Siverio, a medicine woman from the Camino Rojo that she walked for 20 years.
She is also a Guardian authorized by her godparents Emilio Peñafiel and Carmen Mason from Michoacán- Mexico for the Vision Quest in Tenerife on the mountain of Araya de Candelaria for 10 years.
She carries the commitment of praying and running the temazcals also assigned by vision and baptized by her godparents in Mexico for 15 years
She is a Spiritual Coach for professional counseling.
She is a holistic therapist and certified in Germanic Medicine for serious illnesses.
